Andy Van Buskirk’s practice is devoted to commercial real estate, corporate and commercial transactions.
His real estate practice covers all aspects of commercial real estate, including leasing, acquisition, disposition, development and financing of all types of commercial real estate. He has experience representing buyers, sellers, developers, lenders, landlords and tenants of all types of commercial real estate including raw land, office buildings, retail centers, industrial projects and residential developments.
His corporate and commercial practice covers most aspects of business law from the formation to disposition of business entities and everything in between including acquisitions, mergers, restructuring, management buy outs, review and preparation of various agreements and the representation and counseling of clients in their ongoing business activities
Representative Experience:
- Closed the acquisition of a shopping center with over 209,000 sq ft on almost 15 acres (six national and publicly traded tenants making up 80% of gross rent (Multiple over 25,000 sq ft)) with a commercial mortgaged-backed securities loan
- Oversaw acquisition of a grocery anchored shopping center with over 158,000 sq ft on almost 17 acres with a number of national and regional tenants (Multiple occupants of 20,000+ sf)
- Represented a client of 7 plus years in matters ranging from disposition and acquisition to development and leasing of a number of shopping centers, including closing the acquisition of a shopping center last month and our current representation of them in the acquisition of shopping center with over 28,000 sq ft on over 5 acres with fourteen tenants.
- Represents numerous investors and developers in connection with the acquisition, financing and sale of all types of commercial real estate including retail centers, office buildings, mixed-use projects, apartments, hotels, industrial projects and raw land.
- Represents numerous owners in the financing and re-financing of their projects including retail, office, apartment, hotel, industrial and single tenant.
- Represents a developer in the financing and development of its hotel project in downtown Houston.
- Represents a developer in the acquisition of 28 acres to be developed into apartments, office, retail and service station from the largest private developer of planned residential and urban mixed use communities in the United States. Currently I am working with them on financing, leasing and developing this project.
- Represented at least another one hundred or more entities in the purchase, financing, development and disposition of various real estate projects.
- Represented several out-of-state investors in the purchase of property within Texas.
- Represented numerous entrepreneurs in the formation and structuring of their entities and businesses.
- Represented numerous entities in the purchase or sales of existing businesses.
- Represented several entities in mergers and re-structuring of their existing businesses.
- Represented numerous owners in the financing and re-financing of their projects including retail, office, apartment, hotel, industrial and single tenant.
